Dare County Regional Airport is a public airport located one mile from town of Manteo, on the Outer Banks. The airport covers 340 acres and has two runways. The Dare County Regional Airport (MQI) is owned by the County of Dare and operated under a nine member Airport Authority. Dare County Regional Airport is a bustling center of aviation activity year round and has a lot to offer. The airport features a full staff, a modern terminal building and hangars. MQI utilizes two runways (5-23) and (17-35) with radio controlled lighting. We also have AWOS weather service, DME, VOR and ADF navigational equipment.
