Subject: Budget Eating
my family and i are making our first trip to the Outer Banks the second week in september, we will be staying in the Salvo area, but plan on visiting most of the banks. Due to current gas prices, when we decide to eat out, we will need to plan our meals, any suggestions for resturants where we can get the most food for our money? We would also like do grill some seafood at our cottage, are there any good places where we could purchase it in the area? Read More...

Subject: non-beach outdoor activities
I will be in Duck with family in late August but am not really into the beach all that much. I like hiking (beginner), bicycling (intermediate), kayaking (beginner), and canoeing (intermediate) but don't expect to do the water activities in the ocean. Are there parks and lakes in the area that rent boats? Do people kayak in the intercoastal waterway? Can you rent a decent bike around Duck? Read More...
