Subject: weather in June

Can anyone tell me what the weather is like at the end of June. Is the ocean warm enough to swim in? Do I need a heated pool? Thanks so much.

No to the heated pool.....no way will it be worth the money.

Ocean shoud be just fine unless unusual storm or tides.
We have been either 1st or 2nd week in June for years due to price and have always had good weather. Ocean could be chilly but I prefer it that way after sitting in sun

YES! You will want to heat the pool. The nights have to be warm for the pool to hold any heat it may absorb during the day. The nights are cool in June. The ocean will be COLD! The weather may be great or really crappy. It has been 50/50 for us. We usually go 3rd week in June.

I guess we stay on different ends of the island....
Last year June 5-12 I roasted my but off and walked down and jumped right into the pool and ocean both.
I'm not a Navy Seal either :-)

We stayed in Frisco the second week in June last year and it was VERY hot. The ocean water felt refreshing. It was warm enough for us. The pool was great, too. We didn't have it heated. We have been going that week for the past 8 years and only had one time, June of 2007, that it was chilly.

WE STAYED LAST YEAR THE FIRST WEEK OF JUNE AND THE WATER WAS FINE. IT WAS ALSO VERY HOT FOR THE FIRST HALF OF THE WEEK.WE LIKED IT SO MUCH WE ARE GOING BACK THE FIRST OF APRIL FOR SPRING BREAK.

we usually go the second week of june. last year it was in the 100's first half of the week. the only complaint last year was all the smoke.

dont expect the ocean to be above 70..for some thats fine, for others its still cold

I have been going the last week of June for 20+ years the water has always been fine. The pool is ammtter of personal preference if you can afford it go for it if the nights are cool. If there is a pool there probably is a hot tub so do you need to heat the pool or hop into one then the other?

The SMOKE....that's funny how soon you forget.
When we were there last year thats all we checked on everyday. But until I read this post I had totally forgotten about it.
Must not have been that big of deal.

We also went the second week of June 2008 and the weather and water was PERFECT. I do not recall temps being anywhere near 100 as mentioned by other posters.

sorry for the confusion , the temps. for june 7-14 last year were in the upper 90's with heat index in the 100's.
