Subject: my favorite part

It is cold and rainy here in N.E.
Ohio tonight so ofcourse I think of
the beach in June.
I love sitting on the beach with
my toes in the warm sand watching the grandkids run in and out of the surf and hauling buckets of water to their sand projects and
everyone around the big table at
dinner laughing about today and
planning tommorow.
But sometimes I think my favorite part is pulling into the parking lot at Burris's Red and White and
walking in to grab some more beer and a few incidentals and hearing those old floorboards creak under my feet. You know?

N.W. Ohio here. 44 degrees. But its only 55 on the OBX right now, so guess they are thinking of summer too! :)

It was 32 degrees in Pittsburgh this morning. When I came to work, I had to take a peek at one of the obx webcams...looked inviting. With the last one off to college next year, it will be time for just the hubby and me to take a nice quiet fall obx vacation. can't wait.
