Call the restaurants, but if you want to fish, bluefish and red drum will be showing up.

I assume you are going fishing yourselves, so what will you catch. Also are you fishing up North around Corolla or are you going South Hatteras and Ocracoke. Restaurants are a whole different story. November is a big transition month and whether you are Surf or Pier Fishing, Inshore Boat Fishing or Offshore means a lot. I'm most familiar with what's above Oregon Inlet so here's my two sense worth. Generally in the Surf you will have some Bluefish, small Speckled Trout and Puppy Drum. If the water stays warm you will still have some Spot and Croaker. You may get early surf stripers. We used to have them around Thanksgiving if the water gets cold. HOWEVER November is prime Red Drum fishing in Hatteras and Ocracoke. Especially after a big Southwest wind. Inshore Boat fishing has to be broken down between Sound and Ocean. In the Sound you have small Stripers around the Mann's Harbor Bridges. Near the Inlet you can fish the Bonner Bridge Pilings with live bait for bigger Stripers. If you are daring or get a good charterboat you can fish the Oregon Inlet Shoals for Stripers. Great action but not for the faint at heart, fasten your seat belts. Offshore it is Tuna. Offshore Bottom fishing has Tilefish (only 3 per person) and they closed the Black Sea Bass to sportfishermen from October 5th to April 5th. I hope this helps. Now if your question was for Restaurants let me know. Because of the slowdown in vacationers your selection of truly fresh LOCAL fish will be limited.

We have fished both surf and charterboat in November around Thanksgiving for years. Surf was nothing much more than a few Blues and lots of Skates the past few years. Charterboat activity was severely hampered by strong winds. We did do well one year with Tuna but had to do some Sound Striper fishing because of a rough Ocean. We saw the boats fishing on the Shoals, they did well but seems to be quite dangerous.

Thanks - we plan on fishing the 2nd weekend. Can't decide which location as of yet. Will be staying in Colington.
