Subject: OBX Favorite Ghost Story

We would like to know some of the favorite ghost stories of the Outer Banks.

I remember one morning, my wife shouted to me.........."who drank all the beer in the cooler?" Thinking fast, I replied that it must have been the ghost.

I'd love to hear some too. I've heard all the old favorite stories, but surely an area as old and full of so much history has to have ghosts!

The bigfoot thing. Oh my..lol. Im almost ashamed to say this aloud, and I have never told ANYONE. But, about 7 years ago on the way to the OBX, we were in the mountains of VA. Iswear that I saw something. Dont know what, but it was upright, brown, hairy, and ran on 2 legs. We were on I-64, middle of the night, and I was watching for deer along the roadside. I just got a glimpse of this thing, I think it was walking, but as the lights caught it for just a second, it ran. My husband was driving, laughed hysterically, and teased me forever about it. Ive never repeated it, but I know what I saw.

Someone on Youtube has a video of a UFO taken at the OBX. It is flying low over the water.

In regard to the white Doe - we still have several all white and partial white deer in Southern Shores - relatives of virginia Dare
